WHO ARE THE YAHWEH RIDERS?

The Yahweh Riders are a motorcycle ministry of Normandale Baptist Church in White Settlement, TX. The name Yahweh Riders is a Hebrew word for God.
We are simply a group of men and women who share an enthusiasm for motorcycles and who have had the great fortune of knowing the freedom that comes from a relationship with God through Jesus.

We come from all walks of life and various backgrounds. Many of us did not understand what it meant to be a Christian and had preconceived ideas about what Christians were. What we found out is that Christian are just like everyone else, they are not perfect people, they make mistakes. Unfortunately, those mistakes sometimes come in the form of judgments. This is why many people view Christians as hypocrites.

SO WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

Well that's a valid question, one that has no easy answer. The truth is you may very well encounter that sterotype even within our church, but using Jesus as our model, we learn to love people regardless of their shortcomings. That is the difference.

Normandale Baptist Church and the Yahweh Riders are focused on using Jesus and His teachings as our model. Jesus met people where they were. He did not expect them to act or behave in a certain way before they were allowed to know Him. You can begin to establish a relationship with God regardless of where you are in life. A personal relationship is the key.

SO WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE?

There are several things you can do if you want to learn more about Christianity or the Yahweh Riders. You can pick up the phone and call anyone on the contact list or the church office, visit our church services on Sunday mornings, or come to the monthly meetings of the Yahweh Riders. Give it a try and you might be surprised at what you learn.
